The aircraft fleet of the aviation company Ukrainian Helicopters numbers 16 (sixteen) Mi-8 MTV-1 (Ìi-17-1V) helicopters. These multipurpose machines have earned the international reputation of reliable and efficient assistants to various works.
The aircrafts are intended for passenger (up to 24 persons) and cargo (up to 4 tons, in cabin or on external sling) transportation. For the purpose of mechanized handling their cabins are equipped with electric winches and with ËÏÃ-150 winches to pick up a man off the ground or water surfaces.
To work on international air routes, every helicopter is equipped with aeronautical facilities produced by leading manufacturers in this field that make them capable to fly in night or low visibility conditions. Those are short-range navigation system VOR/DME, two sets of satellite navigation system GPS MAP 196, color weather radar RDR 2000, foot indicator ÊÅÀ-130À, radar responder ÊÒ-76Ñ, emergency location transmitter ELT AK-450.
Every Mi-8 MTV-1 (Ìi-17-1V) aircraft is also equipped with fixed external auxiliary fuel tanks to enhance the range ability up to 1150 km.
