comes to its end in Turkey. The crews of four helicopters
Mi-8 MTV-1 (Ìi-17-1V), basing in Karab?k, Iskanderun, Manavgat
and Milas, performed more than 2,100 flights on emergency
alert and spent about 720 hours in the air.
All pilots and
engineering specialists of the Aviation Company paid priority
attention to the quality and safety of aviation operations
as usual. Owing to their high standard professionalism the
task of the Ministry on emergency situations of Turkey was
successfully carried out. Destruction of thousands of hectares
of green woodlands, mainly in hard-to-get-to mountainous regions
of the country was prevented.
