A helicopter Mi-8 MTV-1, just remanufactured and modernized by our Air Company, was placed at the Ministry's of Emergencies disposition, to be involved in the fire-fighting operations in the Kherson region and in the Yalta Mountain and Forest Natural Park. The decision about the voluntary support to be provided to the firemen was taken by the Company's management considering a huge scale of the ecological disaster. Our pilots, having already a considerable experience of performing such kind of operations, proceeded accurately and efficiently. They carried out 180 discharges of water on the flames, pouring in total half a thousand tons of liquid. The intensive efforts of the pilots have played a key part in extinguishing the fire.
