- The Aviation Company helicopters are back to Mozambique
Less than one year has passed since “Ukrainian helicopters” finished their operations in Mozambique, and now the company’s pilots are back to this South African country. The crews of two aircraft Mi-8 MTV take part in the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) relief mission. They transported first tons of humanitarian cargoes, in their flights to the Zambezi valley where over 13 thousand local people have been displaced by the severe floods. The total amount of the affected population reaches almost 80 thousand, so a great volume of transportation operations is to be performed by our flight personnel.

- Participating in a new UN Mission in Uganda
A new humanitarian mission of the UN World Food Programme is being performed in Africa with Ukrainian Helicopters’ aviation support. Our pilots are supplying hundred of tons of provisions needed by the people of Uganda who remained houseless in consequence of severe floods, in the areas inaccessible to other means of transport.

- Termination of the operations in Turkey
The Aviation Company successfully finished the fire fighting operations in Turkey. Upon a request of the Ministry of Forestry of this country, nine helicopters of the Company took part in the battle with the fire elements. The total flight time exceeded 1300 hours. Thousands of hectares of the wood in the arduous mountain areas were reclaimed from the fire. The operations of Ukrainian Helicopters were highly appreciated by the local authorities and forestry workers.

- New activity areas
“A step across the Atlantic Ocean” - just so can be called a new page of the Ukrainian Helicopters Company’s activity. Our pilots fulfilled the first hours of flights in the skies of Haiti which is on its way from the dictatorship to the democracy. The presence of the UN contingent in the country serves to assure a pacific development of this processes and the aerial support, to provide the operative fulfillment of the peacekeeping operations and to prepare the bases for the economic development of the country. The Company’s cooperation with the United Nations becomes more significant in its qualitative and quantitative terms.
